How EU Digital Passport Processor™ billing works — platform fee and per-passport activation

Updated 2026-04Essential reading

Two-part pricing

EU Digital Passport Processor™ charges in two parts:

  1. Annual platform fee — one fixed fee per year, covers your entire organisation and all platform features, including mandatory backup hosting.
  2. Per-passport activation — a flat fee per passport activation, billed monthly based on usage. The rate depends on the battery category (LMT, Industrial, or EV).

For current rates, see eudigitalpassportprocessor.com/pricing.

Annual platform fee

The platform fee covers everything:

  • Unlimited passport creation and draft storage
  • GS1 Digital Link QR codes
  • EU registry submission
  • Bidirectional data mapper (all import and export formats)
  • SFTP, FTP, and webhook delivery
  • Team access (up to 10 seats, or as agreed)
  • REST API access
  • Document upload and supply chain tracking
  • Mandatory backup hosting — included, no separate subscription required
  • Email support

GBP pricing for UK operators; EUR pricing for EU operators.

Per-passport activation

Each time you activate a passport — making it live and publicly scannable — it counts as one activation. Activations are billed monthly in arrears. The per-passport rate depends on the battery category selected when you subscribed.

Rates differ for LMT (light means of transport), Industrial, and EV (electric vehicle traction) batteries. See eudigitalpassportprocessor.com/pricing for the current category rates.

What counts as an activation

A passport is activated when you use the Activate button on a passport record. Activation:

  • Sets the passport status to Active
  • Generates the public QR code URL
  • Makes the passport visible at the public viewer (eudigitalpassportprocessor.com/p/...)
  • Triggers the monthly billing usage record

Drafts, completed passports, submitted passports, and revoked passports are not counted.

Billing references and statements

Every activated passport receives a unique billing reference in the format DPP-{YEAR}-{ORG}-{NNNNN} (for example, DPP-2026-ACME-00142). This reference appears on the passport record and in your billing history.

From the Billing History page, you can download a PDF billing statement for any completed calendar month. The statement itemises every activation in that period with its billing reference — use it to reconcile against your Stripe invoice or attach to an internal purchase order.

Large volumes
